What do we do?
School council is designed to provide an opportunity for the children to be directly involved in general issues that affect the school. These issues can be wide-ranging and can be initiated by staff or pupil groups.
Members of the Council take part in discussions and votes and also feedback any relevant information to their class. Sometimes, they will ask their class for ideas or take class votes relating to discussions by the Council.
School council will meet regularly with Mrs Diggle and Mrs Massey to discuss ways in which they feel they can change the school for the better, for example...
- ideas to improve playtimes
- after school clubs
- fundraising ideas
- supporting charities
- new resources for school
