This week we are asking the children to do some 'Big Write'
For the Yellow group we would like the children to think of 5 sentences for each picture and write them. We would like the children to remember their writing goals and we would also like them to try and extend their sentence by using 'and' and or 'because'.
For the Red group we would like the children to think of 4 sentences for each picture and write them. We would like the children to remember their writing goals and we would also like them to try and extend their sentence by using 'and'.
For Green group we would like the children to think of 3 sentences for each picture and write them. We would like the children to remember their writing goals.
For the Blue group we would like the children to write 2 "I can see ..." sentences for each picture. Encourage them to use their phonics to sound out what they can see.

Phonics
This week in phonics we are continuing to learn how to read longer words, please keep practising the words from last week (w/b 22.6.20) using the phoneme frames.
This week we are also going to be practising reading and writing our tricky words. I want you to start at Phase 2 and get an adult to test you reading and then writing these words (see list below).
If you get them all correct then you can move on to Phase 3 and then Phase 4. The words get trickier as you move up each phase so remember to look carefully.
To make practising a little more fun you could play the tricky word trucks game on phonics play too!
Don’t forget you can also practise using the tricky word songs below.
