Oral starter

Ask your child what does it mean to double a number? Practise doubling numbers with fingers up to 5. Look at the pattern of the answers and use this to continue doubling up to double 10.

Write the number doubles in your book starting at,

double 1 is 2

double 2 is 4

Continue practising completing missing number calculations. Use objects, number line or 100 square to help. Remember when using a number line to cover the number you are starting from with your finger and count how many jumps it takes to reach the answer.
